The first Guangdong E-Sports Super League has announced its Guangzhou city qualifier, offering a prize pool of more than 100,000 yuan for the overall champion.
The competition is open to amateur players. The winning team from Guangzhou will advance to represent the city in later stages of the provincial tournament.

Key details
Date: April 18, 2026
Location: East Main Entrance, Baiyunli International Beauty Center (白云里国际美妆中心), Guangzhou
Registration deadline: 24:00, April 15, 2026
The event is supported by Baiyunli International Beauty Center, which will host the qualifier at its own facility.
Organizers said that the league is the first of its kind in Guangdong Province. The city‑level qualifiers are designed to discover local talent and build a competitive e-sports event in the region.
The total prize fund covers multiple stages of the competition. The team that wins all rounds from the city qualifier through to the provincial final would collect more than 100,000 yuan for a single game.
Further details on the specific game titles and match formats have not yet been released. Registration is open to teams of amateur players. No professional organizations are allowed to take part in the qualifier.
The league is part of a broader effort to develop the e-sports industry in Guangdong, which is already home to several professional clubs and major tournament organizers. Provincial authorities have previously expressed support for e-sports as an emerging sector, citing its potential to attract young audiences and create related jobs in event management, broadcasting, and content production.
The Guangzhou qualifier will kick off on April 18. Spectators are welcome to attend.
