Watching lion dances and praying for good luck at the Ancestral Temple has long been a tradition for many Foshan locals during the Chinese New Year. The strong Lingnan New Year vibe has made Ancestral Temple a must-visit destination for tourists coming to Foshan, attracting large numbers of visitors.

From the first to the seventh day of the Chinese New Year, Ancestral Temple went all out to let more visitors experience the charm of Lingnan culture, with nine performances of martial arts and lion dances every day. The high-pole lion dance, with its agile leaps and turns, drew waves of cheers from the crowd.

Traditional Cantonese opera was also performed twice daily on the temple's Wanfu Stage, adding to the festive atmosphere.
