The 2025 Southern China Book Fair is shaping itself into an international platform that promotes nationwide reading and mutual learning between civilizations.

The Book Fair brings together literary and artistic luminaries from home and abroad, including Mao Dun Literature Prize winners Ge Fei and Liang Xiaosheng, Hong Kong film director Wong Jing, and musician Han Hong, alongside acclaimed international authors such as American writer Wendelin Van Draanen, author of "Flipped", and Neil Packer, illustrator of the full-color edition of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".

Now in its 32nd year, the Book Fair aims to further deepen its international reach by presenting cultural treasures from Southeast Asia, Europe, and Central Asia, and showcasing publishing achievements from 23 countries and regions.

Within the International Culture Hall of the main venue, a dedicated Theme Pavilion and an International Copyright and Trade Zone will be set up. The hall will host the signing ceremony for the "Guangdong Books Going Global" initiative and concurrently display overseas editions, including Guangdong publications, Jin Yong's classics in multiple languages and other selected works, in a bid to bring Chinese intellectual property into the global market through copyright trade.
