On September 27, the 2025 Huicheng District Farmers' Harvest Festival, themed "Celebrating Agricultural Bumper Harvests, Sharing a Better Life," opened at Jintou Lake, Qilian Village, Jiangnan Subdistrict, Huizhou City.

The event featured a fisherfolk parade, folk culture exhibitions, and harvest garden tours, showcasing the district's high-quality agricultural achievements and vibrant local culture, while bringing urban and rural residents together to celebrate the autumn harvest and explore rural revitalization.
The Festival, a major rural event highlighting agriculture and farmers, focused its activities on celebrating the sector's achievements. During the Festival, the district recognized its 2025 "Outstanding Local Talents" to encourage more people to dedicate themselves to rural development and serve agriculture and local communities.

This year's Harvest Festival also celebrated local fishing culture. Villagers in traditional fisherfolk attire paraded along village roads carrying models of large fish, wheat, and farming tools, drawing the attention of passersby. Fishing-themed songs and dances performed on stage showcased the charm and vitality of the community's maritime heritage.

As the host of the Festival, Jiangnan Subdistrict has made notable progress in rural revitalization. Going forward, it will leverage its fishing heritage, integrate agriculture, culture, and tourism, and advance initiatives such as the water economy and low-altitude economy, further optimizing the rural industrial structure and driving sustainable agricultural development.
