The 2025 Guangdong Tourism and Culture Festival is set to take place in Qingyuan this November. Under the theme "Glad to Meet in Qingyuan, Waves Rising in Guangdong", the festival will highlight Qingyuan's captivating scenery and cultural charm while showcasing Guangdong's diverse cultural and tourism resources.
The opening ceremony and grand gala will be held at Fengcheng Square (凤城广场), unfolding from the legend of "The Phoenix Returns to Qingyuan." The performance will feature four chapters—Nature, Cuisine, Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the Future—blending traditional Cantonese opera with Yao embroidery fashion shows.
In addition, the festival will include a series of exciting events such as the 2025 Qingyuan Tourism Development Conference, the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Parade, Qingyuan cultural and tourism field trips, the "Qingyuan Banquet" Culinary Promotion by Cantonese chefs, the Qingyuan Hot Spring Carnival, and the 13th Qingyuan Chicken Cultural Tourism Carnival. Together, these events invite visitors to experience the rich Lingnan culture and the distinctive local charm of Qingyuan.
