As the new year begins, cities across Guangdong are unveiling a new generation of public cultural spaces—inviting people to read, connect, and find inspiration.

Guangdong Museum "Reading Room", Guangzhou

In 2018, Guangdong Museum established a 300-square-meter in-house library. Its collection of over 3,000 books specializes in cultural heritage and art, attracting about 177,000 visitors annually.

Huijing Branch of Tianhe District Library, Guangzhou

Yantian Growth Library, Shenzhen

Centered on "growth" and the belief that "everything is readable," the library fosters a new public space for green reading and sustainability education.

Renovated from the Tangkou Grain Management Institute dating back to the 1970s, this cultural landmark blends overseas Chinese hometown memories with modern aesthetics, boasting a collection of around 38,000 books.

Zhiyan Zhiyu Ancient Papermaking Research and Study Base, Zhaoqing
