On March 4, the launching ceremony of the 2026 National Dragon and Lion Dance Carnival was held in Zhangcha Subdistrict, Chancheng District, Foshan City. With dragon and lion dances as the medium, the event linked relevant groups nationwide through "offline launching + online participation", promoting national fitness and inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture.

Dozens of lion dance teams brought performances to showcase Foshan's profound lion dance heritage. The grand parade featured a 108-meter giant golden dragon, martial arts, and Cantonese opera, attracting citizens to record the spectacular scene.
In the group show, traditional, modern, and young lion dancers performed together, symbolizing the inheritance of the culture. To promote lion dance culture, Chancheng will build a Lion Art Museum, integrating collection, performance, and research, and linking resources from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

As the "Hometown of Chinese Dragon and Lion Sports," Zhangcha has established a dragon and lion industry alliance, upgrading the culture from a symbol to an industrial cluster by integrating resources, event operation, cultural and creative development, and talent export.
