Danxia Mountain celebrates Chinese New Year with cultural heritage and night tours

On February 19, the third day of Chinese New Year, Shaoguan's Danxia Mountain Scenic Area welcomed over 35,000 visitors. Tourists enjoyed the festive atmosphere amid red lanterns, "Fu" (福) decorations, and lively cultural performances.

During this Chinese New Year holiday, Danxia Mountain introduced its "Day and Night" experience. By day, visitors explored scenic spots like Waterfront Danxia Pier, Xianglong Lake, and Zhanglao Peak, engaging in traditional games, NPC interactions, and cultural activities such as poetry with the costumed Zhang Jiuling, a historical Shaoguan poet.

At night, the park transformed into a luminous wonderland. Highlights included fish lantern parades, Da Tie Hua (molten iron fireworks performances), bonfire parties, and boat tours along the Jinjiang River, where illuminated cliffs reflected in the water.

Through multi-department coordination, the scenic area ensured smooth ticketing, traffic flow, and visitor safety. With its blend of natural scenery, intangible cultural heritage, and innovative night tours, Danxia Mountain offered an engaging and unforgettable Chinese New Year celebration.
