On December 3, the Guangdong Maoming Branch Event of the 2026 National Community Spring Festival Gala took place at the main stage of the Baiqiao Service Area (East). After the auditions, 26 programs advanced to the next round. As a major community cultural IP, the National Community Spring Festival Gala has become a key platform for showcasing grassroots vitality and promoting culture–tourism integration. These programs will also step onto a bigger stage, bringing Maoming's joyful spirit to audiences nationwide.
"As a native of Gaozhou, I am truly honored to take part in such a major national event," said Zhu Mengchao, the inheritor of the Gaozhou Puppet Show.
Luo Sha, a teacher from Maoming Polytechnic, said this cultural feast gave her a firsthand sense of Maoming's cultural growth and the close collaboration between government and people, especially in preserving intangible heritage. "I brought my students tonight, and they loved it. College students need this kind of cultural and spiritual nourishment."
