Maoming magician He Mujun wins Merlin Award

He Mujun, a magician and actor from Dianbai District, Maoming City, Guangdong province, was recently honored with the title of "Best Theatrical Magic Performer" at the 40th Merlin Award Ceremony.

Established in 1968, the Merlin Award is one of the most prestigious honors in the world of magic. Past recipients include renowned magicians such as David Copperfield and Liu Qian.

Raised in Dianbai, He Mujun grew up in a cultural environment that nurtured his artistic sensibility and shaped his bold, innovative approach to magic.

A graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, He Mujun combines theatrical performance with magic and founded the "Hat Trick" Magic Theatre. Featured in "Merlin's Magic Guide," it is recognized as one of China's top magic-themed venues.

In recent years, the theatre has staged productions such as Daydream and Wishes Beyond the Horizon, earning strong acclaim. He Mujun has also appeared on China's national broadcaster CCTV and at the Golden Rooster Awards, one of the country's most prestigious industry honors, performing alongside Chinese celebrities.
