From July 17 to 20, the 2026 World AI Conference & High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance (WAIC) was held in Shanghai.
As an industrial cooperation partner of this year's conference, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area has taken part in this top-tier industry summit for several consecutive years. During this year's conference, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area combined an industrial matchmaking event, an industry visit and an extensive booth presence to complete an end-to-end process from "AI application solutions" to "targeted industrial matchmaking", showcasing the "Dongguan approach" to empowering the real economy with AI.
On the opening day of the conference, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area hosted the "Landing Binhaiwan" Industrial Exchange Conference of Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area in Shanghai. Centered on core tracks including AI servers and XR industrial chains, the event brought together leading enterprises, industrial capital and innovation platforms.
It fully leveraged the advantages of the National AI Application Pilot Base and introduced special policy incentives, systematically demonstrating the Bay Area's strengths in fostering an AI industrial ecosystem. The conference featured three carefully designed sessions: resource promotion, industry exchange and targeted negotiations.
Throughout the conference, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area set up a dedicated booth in the WAIC CONNECT Zone, Hall H4, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. The booth displayed its latest achievements in AI industry development, industrial ecosystem building and industry funding. It also invited high-quality enterprises worldwide to explore industrial cooperation.
