After the 140th Canton Fair, more than 80 groups of overseas buyers traveled from Guangzhou to Zhanjiang to inspect local factories and explore the capabilities of Zhanjiang Manufacturing up close.
Building on the attention they drew at the Canton Fair, Guangdong Hotor Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd., Guangdong Hallsmart Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Weking Group Co., Ltd. and Lianjiang Ricco Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. have each hosted several groups of overseas buyers.
The visitors focused on production automation and in-house component supply. Inside the workshops, robotic arms handled stamping, assembly and testing, while workers oversaw key quality control processes across multiple production lines.
After inspecting production lines, quality control and R&D systems, many buyers praised Zhanjiang's manufacturers. "Zhanjiang's businesses, especially home appliance makers, have grown rapidly in recent years. Their scale, products and quality are the best of the best!" said Amir, a buyer from Malaysia.
Italian buyer Daniele sampled local delicacies during his visit. Sato, a buyer from Japan, had planned a one-day trip but extended his stay after touring the factory and reviewing management documents, and widened the range of products he is buying.
The factory visits have also helped turn interest into deals. Guangdong HUACO Electrical Appliance Group Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Hotor Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. each secured letters of intent for orders worth three million yuan. Guangdong Kaitai Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. signed a five-year supply framework agreement with a leading Russian tool manufacturer.
From examining samples at exhibition booths to inspecting workshops, overseas buyers are getting closer to Zhanjiang's manufacturers, a sign of growing international interest in Zhanjiang Manufacturing.
