Eight brand hotels open for trial run in Huizhou during National Day holiday

On September 15, all Dongpo Sixteen Delights Stations along Huizhou's scenic Nankun Mountain–Luofu Mountain tourist highway became fully operational, coinciding with the launch of eight new rural boutique hotels.

Two months ago, the 218-kilometer "most beautiful tourist highway" in the Nankun Mountain–Luofu Mountain area officially opened to traffic, quickly revitalizing the region's "roadside economy belt." Anchored by the Dongpo Sixteen Delights Stations, the highway now features eight renowned domestic rural hotel brands — including Naked Retreats, Yunjian Hotel, Guoyun Mountain Residence, Qianli Zoudanqi, Sanshan Laichi Homestay, Xipo Hotel, Wechic Hotel, and Passing-cloud Resort. Together, they form a unique tourism corridor themed around "Dongpo's Sixteen Delights," seamlessly blending art, culture, and nature.

The Dongpo Sixteen Delights Stations are named in honor of the famous poet Su Shi (1037-1101), also known as Su Dongpo. He was banished by the court to Huizhou, Guangdong, for his opposing views. During his three-year stay in Huizhou, he penned hundreds of poems praising the city and its people. He also contributed to building infrastructure and improving the locals' farming techniques.

At the same time, the first phase of the 100-million-yuan Youth Entrepreneurship Fund for the Two Mountains Area and the Huizhou Culture, Tourism, and Sports Consumer Subsidy Program were officially launched.

With the opening of the eight hotels, all Dongpo Sixteen Delights Stations along the scenic Nankun Mountain–Luofu Mountain tourist highway are now fully operational. The eight brand-name rural hotels will begin trial operations during the National Day holiday, providing a strong boost to the high-quality development of Huizhou's cultural tourism sector and injecting fresh momentum into rural revitalization.
