On January 20, the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" spring sales campaign launched its cellphone promotion in Dongguan City, a significant manufacturing hub in Guangdong Province. Several local mobile phone brands participated in this special promotion, providing a timely opportunity for both domestic and international consumers to upgrade their devices at the beginning of a new year.

The cellphone promotion campaign featured both online and offline activities. Major local phone brands, including Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Honor, ZTE, and TCL, showcased their latest flagship products onsite. Key technology solutions were presented by industry leaders such as Tinno Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Longcheer Technology Co., Ltd.

The campaign also included online collaborations with mainstream e-commerce platforms and live media broadcasts. These efforts allowed consumers from around the globe to gain insight into the capabilities and quality of Guangdong-made smartphones through behind-the-scenes production visits and dialogues with engineers.

Moreover, local brands like Huawei, OPPO, vivo, and Honor plan to conduct offline promotions at various administrative service centers and residential communities in Dongguan, ensuring that technologically advanced products from Guangdong are accessible to residents at favorable prices.
The featured products in this campaign—smartphones—underscore Guangdong's confidence as one of the most significant smartphone manufacturing clusters in the nation and the world. The province has maintained its position as the largest smartphone manufacturing region in China for 35 consecutive years. In 2024, Guangdong's production reached 683 million units, accounting for 40.9% of the national total. Notably, one in every three smartphones sold globally is produced by companies based in Guangdong. Leading brands like Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Honor, and Transsion are firmly established in the region, collectively building a comprehensive industrial chain that spans from chips and displays to complete device manufacturing.

Dongguan's smartphone industry cluster ranks among the nation's top advanced manufacturing industries and boasts numerous brands that shine on the global stage. According to IDC data, in the third quarter of 2025, vivo held the fifth-largest market share globally and the top spot in the domestic market. Meanwhile, a Counterpoint report indicated that OPPO (including its sub-brand OnePlus) secured the fourth position worldwide during the same period. Combined, the domestic market share of vivo, Huawei, and OPPO reached 47% in the third quarter of 2025.
The "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" campaign is set to continue through 2026, revolving around four seasonal themes, each emphasizing one of Guangdong's major industries. The spring edition, launched in Foshan on January 15, aims to spotlight the home appliance, mobile phone, clothing, and food sectors.
