Maoming's Dianbai Agarwood Expo opens

On the morning of March 20, the 1st China (Maoming) Dianbai Qinan Agarwood Industry Expo kicked off in Dianbai District, Maoming. The event brought together more than 200 exhibitors and a large gathering of purchasers and consumers, building a global platform for display, exchange and trade in the industry.

Dianbai agarwood has long been part of the prosperity of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. With more than 1,500 years of agarwood culture, Dianbai has earned its reputation as a renowned hometown of Chinese agarwood with a profound heritage.

At present, the agarwood planting area in Dianbai District exceeds 150,000 mu (10,000 hectares), with more than 10,000 enterprises and business entities engaged in processing and sales, creating jobs for about 100,000 people.

Dianbai agarwood products have expanded from traditional spices and medicinal materials to seven major categories and more than 100 varieties, including daily chemicals, crafts, incense sticks, tea and essential oils, and are also widely used in cultural and creative industries.

In 2025, the annual output value of Dianbai's entire agarwood industrial chain surpassed 8 billion yuan.

The expo runs until March 22. Featuring a dazzling array of agarwood products, the exhibition has drawn large crowds of buyers and consumers. Online sales on the first day exceeded 15 million yuan.

More than 20 foreign merchants from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States also visited the site to inquire about and purchase agarwood products.

Last year marked a historic breakthrough for Dianbai: Raw agarwood was exported for the first time, with multiple orders delivered to Saudi Arabia. Thanks to the sound operation of the cross-border e-commerce industrial park, Dianbai agarwood now has smooth access to the international market, and a global trading network is taking shape at an accelerated pace.
