From July 16 to July 23, China's state television broadcaster CCTV's Finance Channel aired a special series titled "Economic Semiannual Report," which highlighted the economic achievements and milestones of key provinces in China. The first episode focused on Guangdong Province, exploring how it has maintained robust growth amid increasingly complex external challenges.

Among the featured companies was Direct Drive Tech, located in Songshan Lake, Dongguan. The program showcased the company's dual-wheel robots, "Xingtian" and "TITA."

In an interactive segment, a reporter demonstrated the capabilities of the "Xingtian" robot, which included jumping, climbing stairs, and transitioning from a two-wheeled to a four-wheeled configuration.

Direct Drive Tech's innovations have also found applications in educational and research institutions, where they are used for teaching, scientific research, and competitions. Currently, the company serves nearly 200 clients across the robotics sector.

The rapid growth of Guangdong's robotics industry can be attributed to its complete supply chain. As of mid-2023, the province boasted over 1,500 core artificial intelligence enterprises. Dongguan itself is home to 208 key robot manufacturing companies, with over 500 related enterprises concentrated in Songshan Lake. By 2024, the output of industrial robots in Dongguan reached 22,900 units, which accounted for 4.1% of the national total and 9.3% of the provincial output.
