Huizhou recently established a sci-tech achievement transformation guiding fund with a total scale of 200 million yuan. As the first fund of its kind in the city, it will accelerate the industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements.

According to an official from the Huizhou Science and Technology Bureau, the fund was established with joint investment from the municipal government and multiple partners, and will be operated through a registered enterprise under market-oriented principles. Aligned with Huizhou's "2+1" industrial system—electronic information, petrochemical energy new materials, and life health industries—the fund will focus on achievements from major research platforms, universities, and institutes, facilitating their practical application and driving the growth of related technology sectors.
In recent years, the guiding role of government funds has been increasingly reinforced in Huizhou. Currently, the city is promoting the establishment of an artificial intelligence cultivation and development investment fund, as well as a sci-tech achievement transformation investment fund in the Zhongkai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
