Shantou's Chenghai toys shine at Spielwarenmesse 2026 in Germany

Chenghai Toy Association of Shantou, eastern Guangdong Province, organized a delegation of more than 100 toy enterprises to attend Spielwarenmesse 2026, one of the world's largest toy fairs, which opened on January 27 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The participation marked a key overseas activity of the spring phase of the year-long "Guangdong Goods, Global Reach" sales campaign.

As a major toy manufacturing base, Chenghai accounts for over 50 percent of China's plastic toy output and about one-third of the global total. More than 10,000 Chenghai products that integrate technology and creativity were showcased at the fair, including smart interactive toys, eco-friendly infant products, and cultural IP collaborations.

Chenghai exhibitors attracted strong interest from European distributors and brand owners as well. With innovative design and competitive pricing, their products led to numerous inquiries and preliminary cooperation agreements.

In addition to conducting market research on European demand and standards, the association also invited global buyers to attend the 25th Shantou·Chenghai International Toys & Gifts Fair, scheduled from October 29 to November 1 at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

To support overseas expansion, the Shantou Intellectual Property Protection Center's Germany workstation provided patent risk alerts and rights protection services, strengthening intellectual property safeguards for Guangdong-made products.

Earlier, Chenghai toy enterprises secured direct procurement orders worth over 10 million yuan from the Charoen Pokphand Group, opening up retail channels in Southeast Asia. Building on this foundation, their growing presence in Europe further expands the global reach of Guangdong-made toys.
