Recently, the 10th China Fruit Industry Brand Conference was held in Shaanxi Province, where the 2025 fruit industry brand value assessment results were released. Making its debut in the regional public brand value assessment for fruits, Maoming lychee secured a spot in the top 5 with a brand value of 9.571 billion yuan.
The Conference serves as an authoritative platform for China's fruit industry brand development. This year's conference conducted a professional assessment of 111 regional public fruit brands and 287 corporate self-owned brands across the country. Data shows that the participating brands cover 23 provinces and 7 major fruit categories, with the average value of regional public brands reaching 3.653 billion yuan—an increase of 15.6% year-on-year—and the number of brands with a value exceeding 10 billion yuan rising to 4.

Maoming is renowned as "China's Lychee Hometown," boasting a lychee planting area of 1.42 million mu (approximately 94,667 hectares). One out of every five lychees in the world comes from Maoming. This year, Maoming's lychee output exceeded 630,000 tons, and the export volume of fresh lychees under customs supervision reached 8,183 tons, a year-on-year growth of 163%. The sales revenue of fresh lychees has jumped from 5.129 billion yuan in 2019 to an estimated 9.1 billion yuan in 2025, with the total output value of the entire industrial chain surpassing 12 billion yuan.
Maoming's 2,000-year history of lychee cultivation has endowed the brand with profound cultural significance. Since launching the "Brand Strengthening for Lychee" initiative, Maoming has taken measures such as registering geographical indication certification trademarks, formulating brand usage and management measures, and establishing an intellectual property protection system, ensuring that people around the world can enjoy high-quality lychees.
