Huizhou's GDP grows 4.3% in first three quarters of 2025

Recently, the economic performance report of Huizhou for the first three quarters of 2025 was released. During this period, the city's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 447.672 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3% at constant prices.

Agricultural production remained stable with ongoing improvements. The total output of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery reached 36.59 billion yuan in the first three quarters, up 4.9% year on year. The output and quality of key products such as vegetables, fruits, edible fungi, and tea also increased.

As a major industrial city with an annual output exceeding one trillion yuan, Huizhou is accelerating new industrialization. The city is strengthening its two pillar industries—petrochemical energy and new materials, and electronic information—while advancing productive services to build a more competitive modern industrial system.

From January to September, the value added of industries above the designated size in Huizhou increased by 8.5%. The electronic information industry grew by 12.9%, the petrochemical and new materials sector by 4.3%, and the life and health manufacturing industry by 9.0%.

Huizhou is building confidence and steadily advancing key development tasks. The city is actively seizing opportunities in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and making forward-looking plans for new and future industries to foster fresh growth drivers.
