Over 40 Chinese and U.S. enterprises discuss new cooperation opportunities in Guangzhou

Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Committee (CCPIT Guangzhou) hosted an economic and trade exchange event in Guangzhou, gathering over 40 Chinese and U.S. enterprises to explore new cooperation opportunities.

The event featured a diverse range of activities, including on-site research, tea culture experiences, policy interpretations, experience sharing, and business-matching exchanges. Focusing on multiple sectors such as high-end manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and financial services, enterprises from both sides engaged in targeted business matching.

American-funded companies like Oracle, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, and S&P Global, along with Guangzhou-based enterprises such as Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, Pearl River Beer, XPeng Motors, and EHang, participated in the event.

"Oracle has been operating in China for over 30 years. Guangzhou, as the southern gateway of China, is known for its pragmatic and inclusive nature, with a business environment that ranks among the best in the country. We will continue to deepen our presence in Guangzhou and expand our business here," said a representative from Oracle.

"As a core city in the Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou offers numerous development opportunities and multiple advantages. We will consider further increasing our investment in Guangzhou," stated the representative of Amway China.

Harley Seyedin, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China), mentioned that in the chamber's special report on the state of business in South China, Guangzhou has been rated as the best investment destination for foreign capital for eight consecutive years.

He said that AmCham South China will collaborate with CCPIT Guangzhou to continuously encourage U.S. enterprises to invest in Guangzhou in fields such as green energy, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing, while promoting cooperation between Guangzhou enterprises and the U.S. market.

CCPIT Guangzhou introduced that more than 1,400 U.S.-funded enterprises in Guangzhou have brought advanced technologies, scientific management models, and rich market experience, playing an irreplaceable role in Guangzhou's development.

Next, CCPIT Guangzhou will assist enterprises in precise business matching, explore cooperation potential, and promote greater collaboration between Guangzhou and U.S. companies in areas such as technological innovation, green energy, marine economy, biopharmaceuticals, and ecological environmental protection.
