Dongguan has launched its first incubator focused on artificial intelligence and the "One-Person Company" model.
On February 6, the Dongguan Model Cube OPC Ecological Community officially opened at the Songshan Lake International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community. It is the city's first professional incubation platform dedicated to the AI-driven OPC model.
The Dongguan Model Cube OPC Ecological Community brings together key elements including enterprises, technology, policy, capital, application scenarios, and services. Through what organizers describe as a "technology innovation–resource integration–scenario implementation–industrial empowerment" closed-loop ecosystem, the platform aims to better connect Dongguan's manufacturing base with individual innovators. The OPC model, centered on "one person + AI," is seen as a new force in advancing the city's "AI+" initiative.
At the launch ceremony, the community signed strategic cooperation agreements with 10 institutions, including the City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) Innovation and Technology Center and the Shenzhen National High-Tech Industry Innovation Center. Seven initial projects focused on integrating "AI+" technologies with manufacturing have begun.
The platform will prioritize AI-powered hardware, industry applications, computing power, and embodied intelligence components, with plans to nurture a new group of high-growth tech firms in the coming years.
