Nearly 30 companies from Zhanjiang, in southern China, have secured more than 60 million US dollars in intended orders after a week-long joint tour of trade fairs in the Middle East.

The companies participated in the China Export Brands exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, with the final event concluding in Riyadh on December 24. They also held a business seminar in Riyadh to promote Zhanjiang’s small home appliance industry.

The firms showcased products such as smart rice cookers and energy-saving electric kettles. The unified branding helped attract buyers and raised awareness of “Made in Zhanjiang” as a regional label.

Several deals worth more than 32 million US dollars were signed with Saudi partners, covering investment and procurement. Trade groups from Zhanjiang and Dubai also agreed to collaborate on information sharing and business matching.

Organisers noted that the trip marked a shift from selling individual products to promoting a regional industrial cluster in the Middle East.
