Foshan's 2026 grand Lantern Festival folk cultural event, "Crossing Tongji Bridge," will be held from March 2 to 4. As the host, the Chancheng District Government has joined hands with major commercial complexes, leading enterprises, and online platforms in the district to launch a consumption benefit package totaling over 300 million yuan.
During the Lantern Festival, Chancheng has collaborated with core commercial complexes across the district to deeply integrate the folk custom of Tongji Bridge, Lantern Festival elements, and consumption scenarios. A number of distinctive photo spots featuring Lingnan charm, vitality, and interactivity have been created.
Lingnan Xintiandi has created Year of the Horse-themed art installations and trendy art pop-ups. Dongfang Plaza has launched the themed event "Oriental Temple Fair · Joyful Lantern Festival," where a Hanfu garden fair, folk performances, and lantern riddle activities are staged one after another.
Taking "Crossing Tongji Bridge" as an opportunity, Chancheng has implemented subsidies for the trade-in of automobiles, home appliances, and other products while continuing to issue consumption coupons for culture, tourism, catering, and other sectors, driving consumption among residents and tourists with tangible benefits.
Meanwhile, to make travel more convenient and consumption more affordable, Chancheng has partnered with online ride-hailing platforms to launch travel consumption benefits totaling more than 240 million yuan, covering shopping, travel, accommodation, and other scenarios.
