On July 26, the signing ceremony for the Marine Ecological Exhibition Center Project in Maoming Binhai New Area was held. Scheduled to break ground this year, the project is located northwest of Xige Beach (西葛沙滩) in Maoming, with a total investment of 500 million yuan to build the Xige Fantasy Ocean World.

Cui Shaode, Chairman of Dongguan Longxiang Aquarium Equipment Co., Ltd., the project's investor, stated that Xige Fantasy Ocean World will focus on the core concept of "marine ecology + technological interaction + cultural experience." It will be developed into a comprehensive marine center that integrates biological exhibitions, popular science education, theme entertainment, and coastal vacations, catering to families with children, couples, students, enthusiasts, and other groups.
According to the agreement, the project consists of four core experience zones: an immersive marine experience pavilion, a sea lion and seal performance hall, an Amazon jungle-themed water park, and a one-stop marine vacation experience area. Among them, the comprehensive theme pavilion will cover an area of approximately 30,000 square meters, featuring an 8.5-meter-high aquarium display window, a 360° underwater circular screen tunnel, and a dome theater. Combined with holographic projection technology, it will offer various performances such as mermaid legend shows, underwater feeding performances, and underwater ballet.
Maoming boasts abundant marine resources, including seas, islands, shores, bays, and beaches, with a development intensity of less than 5%. It has maximally preserved the original ecology and natural beauty of the coastline, making it an internationally recognized Class A resource. In recent years, Maoming Binhai New Area has taken the 60-kilometer golden coastline as the axis, connecting three 4A-level scenic spots to build a coastal tourism belt, receiving over 3 million visitors annually.
