Zhanjiang secures over US$167 million in orders at Canton Fair

The offline exhibition of the 139th Canton Fair recently concluded successfully, with enterprises from Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province in southern China achieving strong results by expanding overseas markets and connecting with global buyers.

During this session, Zhanjiang-based companies secured more than US$167 million in intended export orders through online and offline channels, up 8% year on year and 18.4% compared with the session before last. The growth marked two consecutive editions of steady increases, demonstrating the strong momentum and vitality of Zhanjiang's foreign trade.

A total of 74 Zhanjiang enterprises participated in the fair, including high-tech companies and specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and innovative (SSDI) enterprises. They showcased a wide range of products spanning home appliances, high-end equipment, household goods, and cultural and sports products. With reliable quality and innovative designs, the products attracted buyers worldwide.

Featured products such as intelligent iced drink equipment, beverage production equipment, smart campers, new energy garden tools, premium household goods, and health and fitness products received orders from dozens of countries and regions across Europe, Latin America and Australia. Meanwhile, the Lianjiang Home Appliances Special Event signed on-site deals worth 206 million yuan, further strengthening the brand influence of Zhanjiang's intelligent manufacturing sector.

Throughout the fair, Zhanjiang facilitated international trade through targeted supply-demand matching, enterprise support services and brand promotion activities. A series of trade promotion events helped local businesses connect with global resources and expand overseas orders.
