A batch of fresh guavas weighing 6.4 metric tons and featuring bright color and rich aroma was shipped to Singapore on August 4. This marks the addition of a new member to Zhanjiang's high-quality fresh fruit export list.
Zhanjiang enjoys abundant sunshine and ample rainfall throughout the year, providing superior natural conditions for guava cultivation. Guava trees bear fruit in all four seasons, enabling a continuous and stable supply of fresh guavas.
As of 2026, the guava planting area in Lianjiang, a county-level city under Zhanjiang, has exceeded 200,000 mu (approximately 13,333 hectares), making Lianjiang the largest guava-producing area in China. The locally grown guavas are known for their thick, juicy flesh and distinctive aroma, which have won them great popularity among consumers.
