Lianjiang, a county-level city in Zhanjiang, is recognized as China's "National Base for the Small Household Appliances Industry" and is home to over 1,200 home appliance manufacturers. On January 21, the city successfully convened a "Post-Mortem Meeting for Middle East Exhibition Participation and Exchange Session for Exporters Targeting the Middle East".
The event brought together representatives from the Zhanjiang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, various service agencies, and nearly 40 foreign trade enterprises. The meeting served as a platform to review the outcomes of a recent trade delegation to the Middle East and strategize for future market expansion. Participants, including local businesses, engaged in discussions to analyze the potential of the Middle Eastern market and share practical insights for successful market entry. This initiative is part of Lianjiang's broader strategy to strengthen its export-oriented home appliance sector.

In 2025, Lianjiang led a delegation of 17 companies to participate in exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, securing letters of intent for orders totaling approximately $42.8 million. The delegation also held an industry matchmaking conference in Saudi Arabia, resulting in signed contracts worth $1.8 million.
The Middle Eastern market is now recognized as a high-potential area for Lianjiang's small appliance exports, comparable to the Southeast Asian market. During the meeting, enterprise representatives shared that future product development will focus on addressing specific Middle Eastern requirements, such as high-temperature resistance, dustproofing, and accommodating local dietary habits, to deepen regional cooperation.
Looking ahead, Lianjiang will launch the "Lianjiang Premium Products to the Middle East" initiative, which will be driven by a three-pronged approach of "Intelligence + Design + Market" to propel "Lianjiang Smart Manufacturing" onto the global stage.
