According to customs statistics, the total import and export value of Huizhou reached 312.49 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, up 5.9% year-on-year. Exports amounted to 180.03 billion yuan, rising 8.1%, while imports totaled 132.46 billion yuan, up 3.2%.

From January to September, general trade accounted for half of Huizhou's total foreign trade, with its value hitting 156.11 billion yuan, a significant increase of 25.9%. Processing trade, on the other hand, saw its value reach 100.84 billion yuan, edging up a mere 0.1% and constituting 32.3% of the total.
During this period, foreign-invested enterprises, among the foreign trade entities with actual performance, recorded imports and exports of 159.8 billion yuan, growing 10.9%. Private enterprises, predominantly small, medium, and micro-sized ones, saw their trade volume hit 145.84 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4%.
In terms of trading partners, Huizhou's top five markets were Taiwan Province of China, ASEAN, the European Union (EU), Hong Kong SAR, and the United States. The combined trade with these partners reached 178.64 billion yuan, accounting for 57.2% of Huizhou's total foreign trade. Specifically, trade with the Taiwan region grew 7.5% to 48.01 billion yuan; with ASEAN, it rose 8% to 43.68 billion yuan; with the EU, it increased 9.5% to 32.16 billion yuan; and with the Hong Kong region, it was up 10.3% to 27.43 billion yuan. Conversely, trade with the United States fell 9.4% to 27.35 billion yuan.
In terms of products, Huizhou's exports of electromechanical products reached 138.44 billion yuan, growing 8.9% and representing 76.9% of its total exports during the period under review. Imports of electromechanical products, however, declined 0.8% to 97.11 billion yuan, making up 73.3% of its total imports.
