Guanzhu's bustling agarwood night market grew from a local "night sales" tradition, where farmers once visited merchants after dark to boost their income. As the practice expanded, farmers began gathering at the town's agarwood mall last year, forming a spontaneous market.

In August, the Guanzhu Town Government standardized the venue with over 400 stalls at Agarwood Square, transforming it into a vibrant hub for trading and cultural exchange that connects local agarwood producers with markets across China and beyond.

"I never expected to see so many agarwood products in one place—from raw materials to creative items, all at reasonable prices," said Ms. He, a tourist from Guangzhou, as she admired a string of Qinan agarwood beads. For visitors and merchants alike, Dianbai's agarwood night market is appealing for its rich variety and direct-from-source deals.

At the night market, agarwood logs, handmade beads, essential oils, and incense tools fill the stalls, showcasing products from raw materials to finished goods. Visitors can talk directly with farmers to learn about planting, processing, and product identification. This "direct-from-source" model ensures fair prices and transparent, trustworthy transactions.
