At the 2025 Guangdong (Foshan) Pre-made Food Industry Expo and the 3rd China International (Foshan) Pre-made Food Industry Conference, Maoming City showcased over 40 products from 13 local enterprises, including five from Maonan District. Maoming's pre-made dishes also earned the "Most Local Characteristic Award."
Leveraging its abundant local agricultural resources, Maonan District has actively developed its pre-made food industry. Maoming Wanyue Food Co., Ltd., one of the participating enterprises at the expo, specializes in the refined processing of rice-based products such as rice noodles. Its fresh rice noodles and dried rice noodles attracted attention for their distinctive flavor and convenience. After sampling the rice noodles, one diner praised them as "authentic, affordable, and convenient." On-site, several major buyers engaged in discussions with Wanyue's representatives.
Maonan's tilapia-based pre-made dishes also drew significant interest. Four companies, including Guangdong Hong'e Valley Biotechnology Co., Ltd., showcased semi-finished products such as grilled fish and black pepper fish steak. "The fish skin is golden and crispy, yet the meat remains tender—clearly high-quality tilapia," remarked one taster. With restaurant-level flavor and easy preparation, these products secured on-the-spot orders. Industry professionals noted that such standardized offerings can enhance kitchen efficiency without compromising taste.
According to the Maonan District Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the expo provided a valuable platform for local enterprises to align with international standards and explore broader markets. Moving forward, the bureau plans to support the industry's clustered development through targeted policy measures.
