A new hospital, the Second People's Hospital of Huiyang District in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is scheduled to open before the Spring Festival.
Once opened, it will provide residents in the Xinxu area with convenient access to quality healthcare, alleviating local medical resource shortages and initially offering services for common diseases, emergency care, and basic examinations.
The hospital will be fully managed and operated by Huizhou Sixth People's Hospital, a Grade A tertiary hospital.

Located at Meilong Lake in Dongfeng Village, Xinxu Town, the hospital covers a planned area of approximately 51,100 square meters.
Built to tertiary general hospital standards, it is designed as a modern public medical institution that integrates medical services, teaching, research, prevention, and healthcare, with a planned capacity of 500 beds.
The first phase, offering 250 beds, will be put into use initially. Construction of the first phase is progressing smoothly, with the main buildings and parking facilities completed and interior finishing nearing completion. Medical equipment is being installed and commissioned.
