China to launch the Electronic Border Management Area Permit starting April 15

According to the new rules, residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (China), overseas Chinese, and foreign nationals, Chinese mainland residents traveling with children under the age of 16 and Chinese mainland residents applying for an Electronic Border Management Area Permit with a validity period of one year, shall apply in person at the exit and entry administration agencies of public security organs at or above the county level or at designated police stations. More→

Nine new exhibition sections debut at the 139th Canton Fair

This year marks the introduction of nine new sections, including wearable intelligence, display technology, consumer-grade drones, and prefabricated houses & garden facilities.

More than 11,000 high-quality enterprises—including those designated as specialized and sophisticated "little giants" or individual leaders in manufacturing—will participate, representing a 5.1% increase over previous records.

Furthermore, 61% of these enterprises have integrated new technologies and models into their production or services, such as the Industrial Internet, AI, 5G, and green, low-carbon solutions. More→

Guangzhou rolls out dining, shopping, and cultural experiences for the 139th Canton Fair visitors

Inside the exhibition venue, a food carnival will be held where visitors can access more than 30 local food brands and a variety of Cantonese and international dishes. Outside the exhibition venue, dining promotions will be rolled out citywide, alongside coffee-themed events featuring more than 200 domestic and international brands.

Retail offerings including locally made products and cultural goods will be showcased both at the venue and across the city. The "Fair 2 City" campaign will offer participants shopping discounts in over 2,500 stores in Guangzhou along three themed visit routes, with payment accepted via international bank cards.

The city will also host river cruises, light shows, live performances, and sporting events throughout the city during the fair to enrich the visitor experience. More→

The Guangzhou Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong & Macao Students (ASJ Guangzhou) opened its new campus

In addition to enrolling children from Hong Kong and Macao (China), the school, founded in 2021, will start enrolling children of overseas Chinese, foreign nationals, and returned overseas talent starting this autumn semester.

China rolls out upgraded "Pet Travel" service on high-speed railway from April 8

The upgraded high-speed railway "Pet Travel" service offers two options: "traveling with pets" and "pets traveling alone". The "Pet Travel" service uses a tiered pricing system based on distance. The "traveling with pets" option features seasonal promotional discounts, while the "pets traveling alone" option is charged at standard rates. All customers also receive basic insurance coverage of up to 2,000 yuan ($290).

The service is mainly designed for domesticated cats and dogs that are in good health and meet the following specifications: weighing no more than 15 kilograms, having a shoulder height not exceeding 40 centimeters, and having a body length of no more than 52 centimeters. More→

Smooth arrival at Canton Fair: services for international buyers at Guangzhou Baiyun Int'l Airport

At the heart of this initiative are dedicated "one-stop" service hubs for international visitors located at the International Arrival areas of Terminals 2 and 3. Operating 24/7, these centers integrate a wide range of functions, including payment assistance, telecom services, transport booking, tourism advice, exhibition support, and business matchmaking, into a single counter.
