As summer reaches its peak, lotus flowers are in full bloom across Guangdong. From vibrant lotus festivals to tranquil lotus ponds, the blooming season will not last long, so don't miss out! Here are some of the province's most beautiful places to enjoy lotus blooms this summer.

Lotus Hill Tourist Attraction, Guangzhou (莲花山旅游区)
The annual Lotus Festival at Lotus Hill is now underway, featuring more than 1,200 lotus varieties and over 600 water lily varieties. A highlight this year is the debut of three new lotus varieties independently bred by the park over the past three years.

On weekends from July 4 to 19, visitors can also enjoy "Lotus Fairy" pop-up performances and immersive outdoor dance shows set amid misty waters and natural scenery.

Honghu Park, Shenzhen (洪湖公园)
Honghu Park is Shenzhen's best-known lotus-viewing destination, with vast lotus ponds coming into bloom every summer. The 2026 Shenzhen Lotus Show runs at the park through July 12. Boardwalks winding through the ponds bring visitors close to pink, white, and double-petaled lotus blossoms, as well as colorful water lilies.

Bruce Lee Paradise, Foshan (李小龙乐园)
A 10,000-square-meter lotus pond at Bruce Lee Paradise is now at its seasonal peak. Framed by green hills and tranquil waters, thousands of pink lotus blossoms create one of the park's most popular summer landscapes. After rain, droplets glistening on lotus leaves add an extra touch of charm.

Fenglin Xiaozhen Scenic Spot, Qingyuan (峰林晓镇)
Every summer, the lotus ponds at Fenglin Xiaozhen burst into bloom against a backdrop of karst peaks. Visitors can stroll through the lotus fields, take a bamboo raft or sightseeing train for close-up views, or enjoy sweeping vistas from a hot-air balloon.

Seven Star Crags Scenic Area, Zhaoqing (七星岩景区)
In summer, the lakes within Seven Star Crags become a broad expanse of lotus leaves dotted with pink and white blossoms. Set against limestone peaks, the scenery resembles a traditional Chinese landscape painting. A black-awning boat near Hexiang Pavilion has become a popular photo spot, offering visitors an immersive waterside experience.

Its tranquil rural atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a leisurely summer stroll or photography.
