China Southern to boost Guangzhou-Australia flights for peak season

China Southern Airlines will increase services on several routes between Guangzhou and Australia during the 2026–27 winter and spring travel season to meet the peak-season demand.

Flights from Guangzhou to Perth and Adelaide will each increase from four times a week to daily between December 1, 2026, and March 10, 2027. Both routes will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The airline will also add three weekly flights between Guangzhou and Brisbane from December 13, 2026, to January 10, 2027, increasing the number of weekly services on the route from 14 to 17. The additional CZ669/670 flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

Meanwhile, China Southern plans to maintain the existing four daily flights to Sydney and three daily flights to Melbourne during the peak season.

The Guangzhou-Darwin route will continue to operate three times a week until December 2, 2026, with no further schedule currently listed.
