The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin expanded its "Tongqinhao" cross-border commuter bus network on August 10, adding new routes to the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town.
Eligible passengers can register and complete verification through the "Tongqinhao (通琴号)" WeChat mini-program. Passengers then automatically receive commuter vouchers issued by the cooperation zone. With a voucher, non-cross-border rides cost as little as three yuan, and cross-border rides are free for eligible passengers.

The latest update adds two routes with six departures and revises seven existing routes with 12 departures, improving public transport for faculty and students in the university town.
"Tongqinhao" is a commuter service launched by the cooperation zone. Through commuter vouchers and a smart commuting system, it serves employees of companies on Hengqin Island, people working in Macao, students at universities in Macao and residents of Hengqin and Macao.
New route: Cross-border Line B13
Macao–Hengqin morning commute: 8:20 a.m.
Macao–Hengqin evening commute: 6 p.m.
The route starts at the University of Macau postgraduate dormitories and passes by the University of Macau Central Teaching Building, the University of Macau Administration Building, Hengqin Port and the Macau New Neighbourhood before terminating at Jinhui International Plaza.
Hengqin–Macao midday service: 1:30 p.m.
The service starts at Jinhui International Plaza and passes by the Macau New Neighbourhood and Macao Port before reaching the University of Macau postgraduate dormitories. It terminates at the Central Teaching Building.
New route: Cross-border Line B14
Hengqin–Macao morning commute: 9 a.m.
Hengqin–Macao evening commute: 6:05 p.m.
The route starts at Jinhui International Plaza and passes by the Macau New Neighbourhood, Macao Port, the University of Macau postgraduate dormitories and the University of Macau Central Teaching Building before terminating at the south gate of the Macau University of Science and Technology.
Macao–Hengqin midday service: 1:20 p.m.
The service starts at the south gate of the Macau University of Science and Technology and passes by the University of Macau Central Teaching Building, the University of Macau Administration Building, Hengqin Port and the Macau New Neighbourhood before terminating at Jinhui International Plaza.
