Direct high-speed rail linking Qingyuan and Hong Kong to start operation on January 26

Qingyuan will be directly connected to Hong Kong via high-speed rail starting from January 26, with travel times cut to less than one and a half hours.

This follows the latest quarterly adjustment of China's national rail schedule, which will introduce a daily pair of high-speed trains between Qingyuan Station and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

The southbound service, G6113, will depart from Qingyuan at 9:22 AM and arrive at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 10:51 AM, covering the journey in just 1 hour and 29 minutes. The northbound return service, G6114, will leave Hong Kong at 5:16 PM and reach Qingyuan at 6:34 PM, taking only 1 hour and 18 minutes. The second-class ticket price is set at ¥253 for the trip to Hong Kong and ¥257 for the return.

The G6113 train originates from Changsha South and stops at Qingyuan, Guangzhou South, Nansha North, and Shenzhen North before its final stop in Hong Kong. The return G6114 service runs from Hong Kong via Shenzhen North and Guangzhou South to Qingyuan.

In addition to the Hong Kong route, the new schedule will introduce two new northbound services from Qingyuan starting in the first quarter of 2026: the G1122 to Shangrao and the G3830 to Xiangyang East. Several southbound trains will also serve Qingyuan, including services from Beijing West, Badong, and Jinan West, connecting the city with major tourism and economic hubs across the country.

With the new direct rail link, travel between Qingyuan and Hong Kong will be more convenient and efficient, significantly facilitating cultural exchanges and personnel movement between the two cities. The updated network also enhances Qingyuan's connectivity to popular tourist destinations such as Beijing, Shennongjia, Xiangyang, and Shangrao, offering residents greater travel options, especially during holidays.

Tickets for the Qingyuan-Hong Kong high-speed rail services are now available for booking on the 12306 platform starting January 26. Passengers are reminded to ensure they hold a valid  travel permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao with the appropriate endorsement before travel.

As train schedules, stops, and routes are subject to adjustment, travelers are advised to check the latest information via the 12306 website or app and plan their trips accordingly.
