A new Star Alliance-branded lounge opened on April 28 at Terminal 3 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, expanding premium services for international passengers and marking a deeper partnership between the airport and the airline alliance.
The new lounge follows the launch of Asia's first Star Alliance lounge at the airport's Terminal 1 in 2024, extending the alliance's presence from a single terminal to multiple locations across the airport.
In Guangzhou, 10 member airlines collectively operate around 1,500 weekly flights to 52 destinations across 10 countries. At Terminal 3, eligible passengers flying with carriers including Ethiopian Airlines, EgyptAir, Turkish Airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA), EVA Air and Shenzhen Airlines can access the lounge, depending on their cabin class or frequent flyer status.

Located in the international departures area, the new lounge spans about 1,400 square meters and can accommodate up to 245 guests. It also features a 700-square-meter outdoor garden—an uncommon feature in airport lounge design.
The space includes rest areas with recliners and sleep pods, workstations with high-speed internet, private rooms, and a reading corner. Dining is provided by a five-star hotel catering team, offering a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, including Cantonese specialties.

The lounge operates 24/7 and is accessible to first- and business-class passengers travelling on Star Alliance member airlines, as well as Star Alliance Gold members regardless of cabin class.
Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, brings together more than 20 global carriers and operates an extensive international network, with its branded lounges at major hubs serving as a benchmark for consistent premium service and signaling an airport's strategic importance.
