On October 11, Qingsheng Station on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link was officially renamed Nanshabei Railway Station (Nansha North Station).
As a key gateway connecting the Nansha District of Guangzhou to the national high-speed rail network, Qingsheng Station opened in late 2011 on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link. Located in Dongchong Town and named after the nearby Qingsheng Village, the station provides fast connections—30 minutes to Shenzhen Futian and about 50 minutes to Hong Kong West Kowloon—serving as a core hub for Nansha's external transportation.

New signage for Nanshabei Railway Station has been installed, with updates reflected on exterior signs, interior guides, electronic systems, and the 12306 ticketing platform. After over a decade under its village-based name, the station has adopted a new identity. To facilitate transfers, the corresponding Guangzhou Metro Line 4 station will be updated to "Qingsheng (Nanshabei Station)." Passengers are advised to note this change to avoid travel disruptions.
According to the Nansha Transport Bureau, work on expanding the station's platform canopy, which began in July, is now 70% complete and is expected to finish by the end of October, enhancing the passenger experience.

The renaming is part of Nansha's plan to build a dual high-speed rail hub. The new Nansha Station, currently under construction and set to open by February 2028, will surpass Guangzhou Baiyun Station with 14 platforms and 29 tracks. It will integrate the Nansha Port Railway, Shenzhen-Maoming Railway, and Guangzhou Metro Line 18, forming a multi-layered network of high-speed rail, intercity rail, and metro. This will enable 1-hour access to major cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and support the development of the 100-kilometer "Golden Inner Bay" around the Pearl River Estuary.
Coinciding with the opening of Nanshabei Station, upgrades at the Guangzhou railway hub continue. From October 11, Xintang Station on the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-Speed Rail in Zengcheng District has been officially renamed Guangzhou Xintang Station.
