Passengers using Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport should note that Terminal 1 (T1) will remain open for most domestic flights following a revised transfer plan.
From late January 21, international flights previously operating from T1 will move to Terminal 3 (T3), along with Spring Airlines' domestic services. Other domestic flights will continue to operate from T1, and the planned closure of T1 has been postponed.
Details on how to reach Terminal 3 quickly and conveniently are outlined below.
Passengers can choose from five main transport options:

High-speed Intercity Train—The fastest option. The Guangzhou East Ring intercity train runs from Panyu and other stations directly to Baiyun Airport East Station (connected to T3). A short 3–5 minute walk leads to the terminal.

Metro + Intercity Transfer—Travelers can transfer from various metro lines to the intercity train at stations including Guangzhou South, Dashi, Keyun Road, Longdong, Pazhou, Huadu, and Zhuliang. Travel times from major stations range from 23 to 29 minutes.
Car, Taxi, or Ride-Hailing—Search "Baiyun Airport T3" for direct navigation. Using the Airport Second Highway is recommended for a smooth, direct route to the departure level. Note that vehicles should not park long-term at the curb.
Metro + Airport Bus—A cost-effective option: take Metro Line 3 or 9 to Gaozeng Station, then transfer to the direct T3 airport bus. The 15-minute ride costs just 2 yuan, with buses running every 5–10 minutes.

Long-Distance Coach—Several long-distance bus lines now terminate at T3, stopping at Gate 62 near the check-in area. Schedules and tickets are available via the Baiyun Airport Express WeChat account.
Transfers from T2
Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 (T2) have three options to reach T3:

Intercity Train—The quickest option. Trains run from the T2 Transportation Center to Baiyun Airport East Station in about 6 minutes; fares are 5 yuan.
Shuttle Bus—Free buses run 24 hours between T2 and T3 every 5–10 minutes during peak hours; the journey takes around 25 minutes.
*Passengers with less than 90 minutes before departure can seek help from airport staff wearing red sashes. Airlines should be contacted if less than 60 minutes remain before check-in.
Recent Shuttle Adjustments
From January 14, shuttle bus stops have been relocated:
T2 Departure Level Gate 42 → T2 Transportation Center East Terminal Gate 30.
T3 Departure Level Gate 62 → T3 Transportation Center Tour Bus Gate 74.
Passengers are advised to check updated transport information and allow extra travel time when planning their journeys.
