Chaoshan Railway Station in eastern Guangdong has officially launched its third-quarter 2026 train operation plan, effective July 1. The new schedule boosts train services, improves intercity connectivity, and introduces flexible ticketing options to meet surging summer travel demand.

The station has added several popular direct routes:
- G3017/20 & G3019/8 (Guangzhou South–Yiwu) now stop at Chaoshan, linking Guangdong with Zhejiang.
- C8851 (Chaoshan–Shenzhen North)—a new originating service.
- G8466/7 (Guangzhou East–Chaoshan)—a new terminating service.
These additions strengthen rail connections between the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong.
Three new loop-line trains have been introduced, further integrating cities in eastern Guangdong:
- G5252/49 (Guangzhou–Shenzhen)
- G5254/5 (Shenzhen–Shenzhen)
- G5260/57 (Shenzhen–Guangzhou East)

To boost regional tourism, Chaoshan Station has introduced the "Chaoshan Charm (潮风客韵)" Tourist Pass, which covers 16 major stations in eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta. Pass holders can choose packages with 2 to 10 ride segments and enjoy an 8.8% discount. The pass is designed for tourists exploring Chaozhou's ancient towns, coastal scenery, and Hakka mountain landscapes. It is expected to be especially popular among families and recent graduates of high schools and universities during the summer peak season.
