Air China has shortened the check-in and baggage drop-off cut-off times for its express lines between Guangzhou and Beijing, with the new rules taking effect on September 21.
For passengers traveling on Air China's Guangzhou-Beijing Capital and Guangzhou-Beijing Daxing services, check-in will close 30 minutes before departure for those without checked baggage, while those with checked baggage must complete baggage drop-off at least 35 minutes before departure. Those using self-service baggage drop-off counters will need to complete the process 40 minutes before departure.
The move is intended to give passengers more flexibility, particularly those facing last-minute changes to their travel plans, according to Air China.
Passengers requiring special assistance, including wheelchair users, unaccompanied minors, pregnant passengers and first-time flyers, are advised to arrive earlier and allow additional time for airport procedures.
