The 2026 Spring Festival travel rush commenced on February 2, bringing an immediate surge in passenger flow to Guangzhou's Nansha District. To ensure smooth traffic during this period, the Phase II upgrade of the "smart brain"—the Active Traffic Flow Control System on the critical Nansha Bridge—was officially activated. This enhancement is expected to significantly improve travel efficiency and safety across the Pearl River Delta road network during the peak travel season.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, Nansha North Railway Station will make every effort to ensure stable and safe transportation by dynamically monitoring passenger flow, deploying additional staff, and flexibly adjusting the number of security check and ticket check channels.

Furthermore, Phase II of the Active Traffic Flow Control Demonstration Project on Nansha Bridge has added four core functional modules: an intelligent system for severe weather, precise control of hazardous chemical transport vehicles, dynamic information release via variable message signs in the median strip, and global collaborative linkage. Moreover, the system is equipped with a real-time air quality monitoring function, which quantitatively evaluates the effects of environmental protection and low-carbon development, providing data support for the green operation of expressways.
