2026 summer flight schedule for Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport unveiled

Jieyang Chaoshan Airport held a promotion event on April 15 in Meizhou, Guangdong Province, to officially release its flight schedule for the 2026 summer season. The event detailed the new route network, flight schedules, and specialized service products, aiming to strengthen tourism cooperation between Meizhou and the Chaoshan region in Guangdong, as well as countries in Southeast Asia.

Data from the airport shows that it has recorded a series of impressive achievements after entering the 2026 season. In the first quarter of 2026, the airport's passenger traffic growth rate ranked first among all airports handling over 10 million passengers annually in China. Strong Spring Festival travel demand, growing year on year for three consecutive years, has further supported this performance.

The 2026 summer schedule is now in full operation, with 28 airlines currently operating 74 routes. In terms of international connectivity, the airport maintains five regular routes reaching Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Nha Trang, and Vientiane. The increased flight frequencies to major hubs like Bangkok have further enhanced the airport's connectivity with Southeast Asia.

On the domestic front, a total of 69 routes are now operational, with a strategic focus on strengthening 12 routes to major cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and Wuhan. These high-frequency routes now operate an average of over five flights per day, with daily flights to Shanghai peaking at up to 23. Besides, the airport has expanded its reach by launching new routes to popular destinations like Lishui (丽水) and Yining (伊宁). It also resumed routes to several key cities including Xining (西宁), Zhangjiajie (张家界), Wuxi (无锡), Nanchang (南昌), and Shangrao (上饶).
