Shenzhen Metro Line 13's new northern link opens

The northern extension of Phase II of Shenzhen Metro Line 13 commenced operations yesterday morning, shortening the journey from downtown Guangming District to Nanshan CBD to about 45 minutes. This 19.25-kilometer segment spans from Shangwu Station in Bao'an District to Lisonglang Station in Guangming District, featuring 11 stations. This addition completes a key 41.69-km artery connecting Nanshan, Bao'an, and Guangming districts. Meanwhile, construction continues on the southern extension of Phase II, a three-station stretch from Dongjiaotou to the Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint.
