China Southern Airlines will increase flights between Guangzhou and Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital and largest city, from mid-July. The additional services will boost capacity on one of its key South Asian routes to meet growing demand for business and leisure travel.
From July 17, the airline will add a Friday service on the Guangzhou-Dhaka route, increasing the schedule to two daily round trips. The additional flight, CZ5015/CZ5016, will depart Guangzhou at 9:35 am and arrive in Dhaka at 11:50 am, with the return flight leaving Dhaka at 1:15 pm and arriving in Guangzhou at 7:05 pm (all local time).
China Southern will also expand its Beijing Daxing-Dhaka service from July 20, adding a Monday flight to increase the route to three weekly round trips on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
According to the airline, it operated 725 flights between Guangzhou and Dhaka, as well as between Beijing Daxing and Dhaka in the first half of 2026, carrying around 142,000 passengers. The figures reflect strong demand for air travel between China and Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a major manufacturing hub, particularly in the garment and textile industries, while China remains its largest trading partner.
