Guangzhou to open 3 intercity railways and 2 metro lines on Sept 29

At 12 a.m. on September 29, the Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway (Panyu-Baiyun Airport North), the Pazhou-Lianhuashan Intercity Railway, and the northern extension of the Guangzhou-Huizhou Intercity Railway (Xiaojinkou-Huizhou North) will officially begin operations. Baiyun Airport East Station is scheduled to open simultaneously with Terminal 3 of Baiyun Airport.

Also on September 29, Guangzhou Metro Line 13 Phase II (Tianhe Park-Yuzhu), Line 14 Phase II (Jiahewanggang-Lejia Road), and the Guangzhou East Railway Station section of Line 11 will start operations with the first train. The operating mileage of the Guangzhou Metro network will reach 768.4 kilometers.

The Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway (Panyu-Baiyun Airport North) covers 57.8 km with 13 stations. The Pazhou-Lianhuashan Intercity Railway is 18.2 km long with 4 stations.

The Guangzhou-Huizhou Intercity Railway (Xiaojinkou-Huizhou North) is 6.4 km long with 2 stations.

Metro Line 13 Phase II (Yuzhu-Tianhe Park) spans 8.3 km with 4 stations. Metro Line 14 Phase II (Lejia Road–Jiahewanggang) runs 9 km with 7 stations.
