Guangdong intercity rail adds late-night links at Guangzhou South Railway Station

Guangdong Intercity Railways has announced the dynamic addition of train services and continued optimization of transport operations, according to the Guangdong Intercity Operation Company under Guangzhou Metro Group.

From February 11 to February 14, an additional late-night train will depart from Xiaojinkou Station on the Guangzhou–Huizhou Intercity Railway at 20:41 daily, heading to Panyu Station (Guangzhou South Station). The service is designed to facilitate connections for passengers from Huizhou, Dongguan, and surrounding areas to late-night high-speed rail services at Guangzhou South Station.

Between February 12 and February 14, a total of 12 extra train trips will be added on the Guangzhou–Huizhou line. Among them, trains departing from Huizhou North to Panyu will make all local stops, while express services from Panyu to Huizhou North will also be introduced, significantly boosting overall capacity on the line.

To handle the post-holiday return peak and assist passengers transferring from late-night high-speed trains at Guangzhou South Station, an additional 10 train trips will be scheduled on the Guangzhou–Huizhou line from February 22 to February 25. During this period, Panyu Station (Guangzhou South Station) will open earlier at 6:15 AM and provide extra departures toward Huizhou, further improving travel convenience for returning passengers.

Guangdong Intercity Railways reminds travelers that stations are expected to experience high passenger volumes during the Spring Festival period. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow sufficient time for boarding. All intercity EMU trains are subject to capacity limits.
