Traffic resumes on Shenzhen–Zhongshan Link and other typhoon-hit roads

Typhoon Ragasa made landfall around 5:00 p.m. on September 24, 2025, on the coastal area of Hailing Island in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, with the maximum sustained winds reaching level 13.

As the impact of Typhoon has significantly weakened, from 8:30 p.m. on September 24, the Shenzhen–Zhongshan Link fully reopened to two-way traffic.

Traffic controls on the Dongguan and Shenzhen sections of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen Expressway and the Nansha Bridge were lifted from 5:00 p.m. on September 24.

From 5:10 p.m.on September 24, traffic restrictions on the Humen Bridge were also lifted, restoring normal passage. Basic services at the Nansha service area and gas station resumed simultaneously.

Highway crews have been clearing fallen trees along the Guangzhou–Shenzhen Expressway.

While the wind has eased, heavy rainfall is expected to continue. Drivers are advised to closely follow weather updates and official guidance, plan the journeys carefully, and drive safely. Roads may be slippery in the rain, and please observe traffic regulations and pay attention to information boards and radio broadcasts during travel.
