China Southern Airlines has recently announced plans to open new international routes and increase flight frequencies as part of its 2026 summer–autumn schedule, expanding connections between China and destinations in Europe, Central Asia and Australia.
Among the new services, the airline will begin flights between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Helsinki, the capital and largest city of Finland, on March 29. The route will mark the carrier's first service to Finland and the first direct connection between the airport and Northern Europe. It will also become the only non-stop route linking the capitals of China and Finland.
On the same day, the airline will launch a new service between Guangzhou and Bishkek, the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan. The new route will create another direct air link between southern China and Kyrgyzstan and is expected to support growing trade and travel ties between China and Central Asia.
China Southern Airlines also plans to increase capacity on routes to Australia and Southeast Asia. Flights between Guangzhou and Sydney will rise to three services per day, while routes from Guangzhou to Perth and Adelaide will shift from seasonal operations to year-round schedules.
Additional flights are also planned from Guangzhou to several Southeast Asian destinations, including Vientiane, Sabah and Penang, offering more options for tourism, business travel and family visits.
